PRSE 2026 Visit

MKV had previously attended Plastics Recycling Show Europe - PRSE in Amsterdam as a visitor. Strictly speaking, a visit in 2026 was not originally planned. However, the launch of the first "closed-loop" application for technical plastics - the Bosch UniversalImpact 800 Closed Loop Edition impact drill - prompted MKV to attend the trade show.

Together with its project partners, Bosch Power Tools and HolyPoly, MKV was nominated as a finalist for the Plastics Recycling Awards Europe 2026 in the category "Automotive, Electrical or Electronic Product of the Year - plastic parts used in automotive and electrical products incorporating recycled material”.

The mere fact of being nominated was a great honor for MKV. It serves as a testament to the recognition of the pioneering work accomplished in the recycling of engineering plastics derived from the post-consumer waste stream.

The Plastics Recycling Awards Europe 2026 were presented across a total of seven categories.

The category "Automotive, Electrical or Electronic Product of the Year..." was the very first to be announced; alongside MKV, a total of eight products from various companies and collaborative partnerships were nominated.

Unfortunately, MKV and its project partners did not come out on top in the end. The winner was the Eletta Ultra Coffee Machine by De' Longhi Appliances S.r.l. and Sirmax S.p.A., featuring a 70% recycled ABS content in its aesthetic components, sourced from the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) waste stream.

Even though MKV did not take home a trophy, it was nonetheless an exciting trade fair, featuring many familiar faces and providing ample opportunity for productive exchange.
