Fakuma Show 2024
MKV expertise in high demand!
The Fakuma trade show is one of the largest and most important events of the year. In typically classic October weather, gray and rainy with the odd ray of sunshine, the plastics industry meets in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance to exchange ideas about trends, innovations and the general business mood.
The exchange on recycling of engineering and high-performance plastics, recyclates, CO2 savings and the circular economy took place, as always, in Hall A3, at Stand 3010 - at MKV! Other companies that shared the exhibition hall space with MKV were, among others, Arburg, Barlog Plastics, Koch-Technik or Osphim.
Looking back, Fakuma 2023 was already very exciting and successful. The anticipation for this year's trade show was accordingly great. And Fakuma 2024 did not disappoint.
Recycling and recyclates, recyclate quotas, circular economy, new legislation on dealing with ELVs are hot topics, which are driving interest in MKV's products.
During the first two days, MKV was represented by a team of six people, all of whom were continuously busy exchanging information with old and new customers, as well as other interested parties, about the company's product and service portfolio. For the rest of the week, five people were on duty but no less busy.
The whole team did a fantastic job!
The economic conditions were and are not the best, which is also reflected in the 7% drop in the number of participants compared to the previous year and some cancellations of trade fair appearances.
MKV was, however, able to draw a consistently positive conclusion for Fakuma 2024.
Fun fact, the MKV logo was not only visible in Hall A3, but also in Hall B5. If you paid close attention, you could see the MKV logo on the Toray stand. At its exhibition stand, Toray presented information on the Ecouse Torelina, a PPS GF40 with 50% recycled content, including the MKV company logo. The product was developed in cooperation between the two companies.
The MKV is looking forward to seeing you again at the Fakuma in 2026 (2025 is cancelled due to the "K" in Düsseldorf).
