Laboratory analyses & material testing

MKV GmbH Kunststoffgranulate has its own laboratory for the thermal, rheological, and mechanical analysis of polymers. Our laboratory is the centrepiece of our quality management, supported by a strict quality policy and defined work processes. The use of unspecified raw materials or additives of unknown origin can have a detrimental on the material characteristics, such as strength, impact strength and surface texture. For those reasons we test all materials extensively in our laboratory. Only high quality polymers, free of contaminations and with the best material characteristics are released for production and delivery to customers.

Market acceptance for recyclates is only achievable through quality. We exert a lot of effort and test all materials in depth. For MKV recycling and quality are no contradiction.

With the help of our laboratory, we continuously monitor our product quality. Employees, trained in the analysis of polymers, ensure that our regranulates and compounds meet the requirements placed on them by customers and are comparable to virgin material.

The samples for retention taken by us at various stages along the value chain can be analysed any time, even years later.

An injection moulding machine by Dr. Boy, used to make test specimen in order to determine the mechanical properties of a material, is part of our laboratory.

Only worldwide renown test equipment by Netzsch, Goettfert and ZwickRoell is used at MKV.

For those requests where we do not have the testing capabilities in-house we can rely on our wide network within the plastics industry, including external testing facilities and the major polymer centres at universities, to solve difficult problems and address customer wishes.

Material data sheets and work certificates are available for all our products.

Naturally we are DIN EN ISO 9001 & 14001 certified.
